Simply put, Equity release allows you to release funds from your home if you are a homeowner, over 55 years old. There is no need to pay back the funds until you either move in to long-term care, or pass away. We understand that equity release can feel overwhelming, so we will simplify the whole process for you.
There are two main ways that you can release equity:
Lifetime Mortgages: A lifetime mortgage is a loan that you take out against your property's value. It allows you to withdraw a lump sum which is as much as 60% of the value of your home. You only need to withdraw as much as you need, which keeps the loan as low as possible.
Home Reversion Plan: These are used less than lifetime mortgages. They let you sell part of your home, to an equity release company. You can then stay in your property as long as needed. You may need to be older than 65 for this option and your estate might also lose money if you die in under five years of taking out the plan.
Our team of mortgage specialists ensure that they find the ideal equity release option for every customer. We are members of The Equity Release Council and adhere to their guidelines, to make sure that we every one of our clients has the appropriate protection and are given high quality advice and guidance.
Equity release is a great solution if you require extra funds for any number of situations. The money can be used to make the most of your retirement, to travel, to pay for home improvements, or to help loved ones on to the property ladder.
